Day 1 Arrival to Merida, Yucatan, Mexico and transfer to beach front hotel Eco Paraiso Xixim, on the west coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. Dinner.
Day 2 Early breakfast and departure for a boat tour of the Celestun Estuary. Birdwatching including a visit to the world's largest colony of pink flamingoes. Seafood lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy the beach. Dinner at hotel Eco Paraiso. Day 3 Breakfast and departure for the small village of Cepeda, where we will learn about the sting-less Melipona bee. Yucatecan-style lunch with a local Maya family. Continue on to the ruins of Oxkintok and its labyrinth. Overnight at Hotel Hacienda Uxmal. Day 4 Breakfast followed by visits to the archaeological sites of Uxmal, Kabah and the Lol-tún caves, with opportunity to observe birds in the surroundings. Lunch at Lol-tún. Transfer to Merida. Overnight at the Hotel Casa del Balam. Dinner.
Day 5 Breakfast and morning free. Airport transfer. This tour offers abundant nature, a close look at today's Maya people and a journey back in time visiting those sites of greatest Maya splendor. All tours are led by specialized guides.
